The California Art League is thrilled to present our October Demonstrator, Vadim Zang.
Vadim Zanginian was born in Armenia in 1965. He is a graduate from Art and Teatre Institute 1984 -1989, trained in Russian Academic traditions. Combining delicate sensitivity with awe-inspiring boldness, Vadim is known in the art world for his portrait and figure compositions. His favorite painters are Michelangelo, Velasquez, Repin, Sargent, Khanjian, Serov, Rockwell, Fechin, Stepanian and Schmid.
In 1991 he won First Prize for the best advertisement design at the Professional Competition, ATV. In 1992 he moved to Los Angeles to complete his Masters degree in Fine Arts and had his show in International Art & Teatre Society. In 1994-2003 he worked as a Graphic Designer and did many contemporary Graphics logos and Posters for Rock singers including Cher, Paul McCartney and The Moody Blues.
He also provided his graphic skills to leading companies like Guess, Harley Davidson and Hard Rock Cafe.
Over the years he worked out a fast learning program for Academical drawing and painting. Now he is working as an Art Instructor in The Internationally respected Academy of Figurative Art (LAAFA).
In his art Vadim tries to make his brush depend on his first impression, and tell a long story in few words, just as a limited pallet can produce 100's of colors. Make sure to attend this remarkable event, featuring the talent and creative genius of Vadim Zanginian.
